My experience

Hi classmates: Today is my last blog :( but after all, I’m happy because it is the sign that the holidays are closer haha. In this year I did English III and IV (I hope to pass) and helped me practice my English which is not good and write interesting posts in addition to reading those of my other classmates. The most difficult thing in writing blogs is that I’m generally have not clear about what I’m going to say, so it is hard for me to start writing and also the extension of the blog, for example in this post I need to write 300 words, so I need to fill with things like this haha, but it was a pleasant experience because with this exercise I remembered experiencies or I thought in dreams. The post that I enjoyed the most is the first, “a family photo”, because I had to look in my photos some where my whole family appeared and I found and the old photo that is in that post (which I didn´t see for many years ago), it brought back good memories of the past. A city

Hi everyone: In this post I would like to talk about a city that I would like to visit and that is Amsterdam the capital of Netherlands. This city is located on the Atlantic coast of the country and one of main characteristics is that it is sunk to -2 meters below the sea level. I like this city because it is cosmopolitan and it´s society is open-minded, it’s architecture is beautiful and the history of the city is very interesting, but what fascinates me the most is that it is surrounded by canals, that is why it is called the “Venice of the North”, for a chilean it is not common to see cities with canals haha. The other reason because I would like to visit Amsterdam is the closeness with Belgium –another country that I really want to visit- and have the opportunity to know cities like Bruselas, Gante, Brujas and Amberes. The things that I would like to doin the city would be mainly to lose myself in it’s streets, see many different museums such as Stedelijk, the Ann

A special meal

Hello FAUbloggers The topic of the week is a special meal, when I read the title I started trying to remember all the memories of important meals and I did not remember any of my childhood, so I will talk about Christmas meals, because on these special occasions we gather all the family together, specially since my older brothers (Natalia and Felipe) left the house. Although we are not very close to Christmas itself, we always have dinner together because it is the occasion to be together once again, in these meals are my brothers (Natalia, Felipe and Almendra) my parents (Ricardo and Verónica) and my doggo haha The 2012 food was special for me because my older brother (Felipe) was not in Chile –he lived abroad for a year—so this meal was different from the others, but we enjoyed it anyway. However, later I and my sisters received a gift, we didn´t know what it could be or where they came from until we knew they were gifts from my brother, for me it was very exciting beca

A friend

Hi everyone: This is one of the last blogs that I do in English, so on this special occasion I will talk about a friend. If I think of all the places I spent in my short years of existance haha I consider myself a lucky person because in all of them I made great and true friends, obviously I don´t keep in touch with all of them but at least I keep nice memories of the past and I know that I can reunite with them if the opportunity presents itself. So my friend that I will talk about today is Lucas, I know him at the last school where I was, when I was in the ninth grade in 2011, I arrived at the school in that same year, I was 14 years old, the same as him. Surprisingsly it was in the following year that we became close friends, since at that time we didn´t share the same group of friends. From that moment we sat together in classes and had great moments. I think one of the reasons for our friendship is that we have many things and interests in common, besides that he is a gre

A landmark

Hi faubloggers I'm a bit late with this post so excuse me haha, In this post I will talk about a landmark that I liked, so as you know from other posts like "a photograph", "a trip" or "a holiday" I visited San Pedro this year and in this place there are many beautiful natural landscapes. In this place I felt very impressed by the landscapes of Salar de Tara, this salar is located near the border between Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, Tara is over the crater of Vilama's volcano to 4.300 meters above sea level. I visited the salar with a group of friends in February and it was fantastic, the salar has an unique ecosystem related with animals like flamingos, tucu tucu, taguas, vicuñas, zorro culpeo and others. But the most impressive is the contrast between the arid and the water of the salar, the massive rock formations eroded by thousands of years known as "catedrales de Tara" and the giant columns of rock that were separated

Geography

Hello classmates In this new post I will talk about something I feel passionate about and I think that is probably the career that I’m actually studying. Ever since I was a child I remember knowing the most of the countries, their capitals and the position on the map, so when I grew up I became interested in the history of some countries and what makes it different from another, their natural wonders and their fauna. In addition, the fact that I love biology and specifically everything that is related to ecosystems, I think I'm definitely feel passionate about Geography, I enjoy the subjects and the field visits. But, of course, not everything is perfect, and not all subjects are good, plus there are some professors who definitely don't have the vocation and the knowledge to do a class. In spite of everything, I think studying Geography for me was totally worth it, when I imagine myself in the future doing what I love and for me that is the most important thing.

A holidays

Imagen
In this post, I´m going to write about a holiday that I had, this holiday was the most recently in February 2017 on San Pedro de Atacama, in the north of Chile. The trip was planned since the middle of the 2016, with some friends of my previous career, so in September we just bought the plane tickets and in December we reserved the camping. The holidays lasted a week. We arrived in Calama and traveled directly to San Pedro, so our plan was to use the best of time and money. On the first day we went through the center of San Pedro, and in the afternoon we met the valley of the moon. On the rest of the days we met beautiful places like Tatio's geysers; the altiplanic lagoons, the Chaxa’s lagoon, the red rocks salar, the Tara’s salar and the secret lagoons. Some places we visited by tour and others by bike. Those places were really beautiful, I think my favorites were Tara’s salar, the red rocks salar and the altiplanic lagoons, the ecosystems are amazing and the fauna a
